ELECTRIC VEHICLE ROADTRIP APP
To promote ecotourism and clean energy infrastructure in the Hudson Valley region, my team designed and developed a mobile app allowing users to easily rent an all-electric vehicle at a local rail station and enjoy curated tours of Upstate New York destinations.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The EV Tourism app and program are aimed at fueling economic development and expanding electrification in the Central Hudson Valley by:
(1) incentivizing and coordinating new charging infrastructure installs at key tourism destinations,
(2) promoting regional tourism by re-branding the region as an eco-friendly & tech-savvy destination of choice, and
(3) introducing EV technology to a new generation of drivers through a user-friendly, app-enabled adventure.

Advancements in electric vehicle technology and the expansion of New York State’s charging ecosystem has opened the door for new products and services that can help drive EV adoption.
To support this movement, my team designed and developed a mobile app experience that provides curated tours of Upstate cultural destinations and EV-friendly lodging options, while also allowing users to easily rent an electric vehicle from a Metro-North rail station, map routes, and track proximity to charge points.
